Dry Docking and Launching

Drydocking ramp of 1,000 Tons capacity and 110 meters of length. Repair and remodeling of boats up to 12,000 Tons of displacement and 180 meters in length.

Dock: Total length of 158.0 m; in two docks; of 87.6 meters and 70.5 meters. Draft of -8.0 meters (MLLW) for floating repairs and maintenance

Hull Cleaning

The shipyard has a pressure washing equipment of 7000 PSI maximum capacity, for removing and cleaning of incrustations in the bottom of the boat and the removal of the soluble salts impregnated to the hull.

This method is important to perform inspections on the helmet as they are.
  • Visual inspection of the weld and hull plates to determine presence galvanic corrosion.
  • Visual inspection of cathodic anodes.
  • Inspección visual de los ánodos de Zinc
  • Reading of clearances
  • Review of bilge inlets.
  • Inspection to determine if the ship has any blow or damage to the bottom sheathing

Sand Blast and Painting

Abrasive cleaning is the best method for cleaning steel surfaces due to its effectiveness in removing laminating scales, oxides and other contaminants, as well as leaving an anchoring surface that contributes to better adhesion of the coating.

The shipyard offers 4 grades of steel cleaning according to international specifications edited by agencies like Swedish Standard (SIS) 05-5900 and the SSPC (The Society for Protective Coatings)

  • White Metal Blast Cleaning SA-3 (SP5)
  • Near-White Blast Cleaning SA-2 ½ (SP10)
  • Commercial Blast Cleaning SA-2 (SP 6)
  • Brush-Off Blast Cleaning SA-1 (SP7)

Painting

Corrosion is a natural reaction in which steel, under the influence of water and air, is transformed into oxide. The corrosion rate increases due to the presence of salt.

Paint is the most commonly used means of protection. Marine paint systems usually consist of several layers that form a barrier against penetration of water and contaminants through coatings applied to steel.

It has been widely demonstrated that the quality of the surface preparation has a direct relation with the life of a system, even when using surface-tolerant paints.

Better surface preparation means a longer life time. Our shipyard applies paint of recognized quality and brands such as Sherwin-Williams, Comex, International, among others.

Steering system

The servomotors are steam, hydraulic or electric apparatus interleaved between the rudder wheel and the rudder. They serve to multiply the effort that the helmsman makes when moving the wheel of the rudder and thus to diminish the resistance that opposes the blade when hitting against the current of the water when putting it to the band.:

The shipyard offers the repair, construction or modification service of any part that makes up the steering system according to the manufacturer's recommendations, mexican norms and rules of construction of ABS boats or any other rule that is warranted.
